[OUGD403 Design Skills] - Research
This is the starting post to the new brief we received from Amber. It's to create a series of 10 different letterforms, communicating the selected word we got out of the magical randomiser. that was filled with different words which we were then to communicate through our letter forms. I got the word layer out of the randomiser so I thought i'd create this post to get a start to looking into different ways layer has been shown or inspiration for which is a possible solution to communicating it. I really love the word layer, although the work we have to do is in black and white, I think there's more then plenty ways of showing the word layer. I hope anyway.

Stefan Sagmeister: Standard Chartered Commerical
Stefan Sagmeister's work for the Standard Chartered is a real piece of art in it's self, pictured in his book 'Things I have learned in My Life So Far' and on his website. The pictured ones are the stills from this advert, the sheer amount in the advert alone is impressive. However, in relationship to the word layer, a lot of the examples in the video would really work, or at least are serving me inspiration from the get go of the advert.
