I looked into more of what happened during the protests that proceeded the arrest of Pussy Riot, along with that more into the Anti-Putin protests. These both were in act together as the arrest of pussy riot was largely involved with Putin having involvement into increasing the charges.
The art that came out of the protests, the pieces featured on the protest boards and banners I thought was really interesting, it may not be another bolshevik revolution yet, but a lot of the work been created was really creative. The work for Putin been more of less comparisons: Hitler and the Joker, where as the work coming from the Pussy Riot protests came out vibrant and colourful. This followed with cartoon versions of pussy riots mostly instead of manipulated photographs like in the anti-Putin protests.
Music artists, the activists of the world, also tried to help out Pussy riot with music concerts, although no real work came out of this, it was amazing to see how musicians all come together and not any other group of people has such an effect on the matter.
Work created for human rights matters is often very shock factor, using as blunt imagery as possible. United colours of Benneton been one of the biggest offenders there, it was interesting to see also photography from incidents as well and it's just as shocking.
