Revolution! Final Poems

Final Book Rhymes:
Rhyme: 1

Hammer,
          Hammer,
                    Hammer,

This hellish work
          that we’re here to do,

The quotas,
          for coal,
                   and for iron,
                             to fulfil,

Work we do
          In smokey plants
                   And factory sites

For a system that
                   betrays us

with the rich,
           getting richer

and the poor,
          getting poorer.

Rhyme: 2

Factory hands,
           Farmers,
                   And Labourers

Friends and Comrades!

Join us
          To build,
          To Think,
          To Breathe,
          To Live
And to fight!

-
Friends and Comrades!

Join us from the
          Stubbly fields of the
                             Countryside

To the factory sites
          And cities and towns

Friends and Comrades!

Join the revolution
          Against unjust oppressors.

Rhyme: 3

Rat-a-tat!
          Rat-a-tat!
Rat-a-tat-tat!

Storm the front
                   Comrades!
And hold onto your gun
          For the tireless enemy
never sleeps!

Rat-a-tat!

Forward!
          Forward!
Forward!

For the Revolution is strong!

Keep up the pace!

Rat-a-tat!

Let us put an end
to the fat pigs’ reign!

Rhyme: 4

A forest of flags,
                   Raised up.

Thousands gather to hear
                             the promise of…

‘Peace,
          Bread,
                   And land.’

No other words could
                             Be so dear

-
          To the peasants
                   and workers
of mother Russia.

The end to
          wars,
Food for
          the starving,
And land returned
           to the rightful owners.

A promise brought to the people
          by the leader of
                   the great revolution!

Rhyme: 5

A whirl of events.

The great revolution,

They go Sickle-clasped
And they hammer fast

To create
To harvest
To construct

For the Great Revolution.

For what is the expression of the people?
The workers and the factory hands?

Their constructions,
That is their art,
and their expression,

With might and power
They build to show the world
The power of unshackled people!

Rhyme: 6

We must spread the word,

Across the land!

The things we promise to deliver!

‘Peace,
          Bread,
                   And land.’

The great revolution,
A coming together of arms
To put oppression in its place

It is our job
To help unchain
The rest of the world
From the Oppressors' vice.

Rhyme: 7

‘Proletarians of the world Unite!’

With the word
Of the promises spread

Outside our borders
And also within

They bring about
Change in the countries they meet

‘Proletarians of the world Unite!’

Take what you’ve learnt
And don’t let others oppress you

Treat everyone equally
Friends and Comrades!
Altogether you are strong!

With this in mind,
You can then achieve
The three Promises of:

‘Peace,
 Bread,
 And land.’

‘Proletarians of the world Unite!’

Rhyme: 8

Nothing lasts forever
Yet the seed has been planted

For the future generations
To start another revolution!

The communist rule was
Eventually over thrown

Yet the promises we brought
Are forever relevant…

‘Peace,
Bread,
And land.’

The communist rule was
Long and prosperous
Yet its fall still echoes today.

With the oppressors back
In rule, we can only hope…

For the future generations
To start another revolution!

‘Proletarians of the world Unite!’
